Modeling Pedestrian Detour Behavior By-Passing Conflict Areas

چکیده
In the process of walking, most pedestrians prefer to choose shortest path, which requires passing through conflict area. However, in case high crowd density, 5–20% total population will follow pre-planned route before walking or during initial period trip bypass Aiming at reproducing this detour behavior phenomenon, an extended social force model (SFM) is proposed according a three-layer pedestrian simulation framework. This not only fully considers choice mode, but also contains avoidance and game point. At strategic layer, mode selection based on Logit established considering starting time angle, distinguish between two groups who those repeatedly adjust trip. Then, path decision visual perception density tactical layer Voronoi-based SFM operational are combined guide specific movement types groups. A series evaluation indexes such as central mean local level selected, Kolmogorov–Smirnov (K-S) test dynamic warping (DTW) method used evaluate compare scores each index different models. The results show that can improve existing certain extent. sum, travel score, level, score respectively increase from 0.71 0.81, 0.46 0.39 0.48, indicates significant improvement performance.

متن کاملModeling pedestrian mobility in disaster areas
Realistic mobility modeling is necessary for testing disaster management strategies as well as performance of disaster-resilient networks. Evacuation of the people from a disaster area depends on the environment and type of the hazard which cause certain changes in the pedestrian flows. Although most models focus on the building evacuations or city-scale evacuation planning, there is a need for...

This dissertation investigates the design and analysis of vehicular and pedestrian models. A type of vehicular model is developed both to offer novel contributions to vehicle behavior modeling as well as to use as a tool to learn how to create an even more complex behavioral model of pedestrian movement. First, the current state of modeling is investigated including purely behavioral studies an...
متن کاملModeling pedestrian switching behavior for attractions
While walking on the streets, pedestrians can aware attractions like shopping windows. Some of them might shift their attention towards the attractions, namely switching behavior. As a first step, this study investigates collective effects of the switching behavior for an attraction by means of numerical simulations. Such switching behavior leads some pedestrians head for the attraction, or eve...
